FaSTTUBE with the first driverless e-racing car

“Meet the FT2023 – the ultimate combination of team spirit and innovation” was the motto of the recent rollout of the latest electric vehicle with autonomous capabilities, presented by the Formula Student Racing Team FaSTTUBe.

After an intensive design phase, the student team did a great job and achieved the goals they had set themselves in the first race of the year. The technically optimized and driverless e-racing car completed 28 laps (11 km) in the long-distance discipline and the newly developed algorithm for route recognition also passed the test.

At the VDE E-Race awards ceremony, FaSTTUBe received the “E-Race-heartbreaking-endurance-winners-of-the-heart-Award” and can proudly compete in the upcoming races throughout Europe.

We take our hats off to the performance and motivation of the young engineers, whom we are delighted to support – with high-precision SMT stencils for the production of electronic components for new, autonomous mobility concepts. We are looking forward to further developments and wish the Racing Team every success for this season.
