Sustainability of tomorrow: the All Electric Society

What if tomorrow’s society could cover all its energy consumption with electricity from renewable sources and the energy transition succeeded? A beautiful vision, but not feasible globally? Maybe it is. After all, with solar, wind and hydropower, everything needed for a sustainable future is available. Energy just needs to be generated, connected and distributed intelligently. This is the idea behind the All Electric Society.

CO2-neutral electricity as the central form of energy in all areas of life – the All Electric Society Park model project proves that this vision can work in practice. It shows a sustainable energy landscape in which electricity, heat and mobility are used automatically and in line with demand. Thanks to the connection of sectors to a system, existing resources are used optimally.

The technological prerequisites for overall global climate neutrality are in place. However, political decisions, international cooperation and social transformation are crucial for far-reaching change. This is the only way to turn the vision of an all-electric society into reality.

Companies also have a key role to play here: they should invest in energy-efficient processes and exploit the potential of existing technologies. This is why Photocad has been producing in a climate-conscious manner since 2016 by using renewable energy sources, pursuing e-mobility concepts and focusing on the smart networking of ordering and production processes.
